So I said I had another post about trucks. I promise I love cars, but this idea has been percolating for awhile and it was time to show how bad of an artist I am.

When I first heard Factoryfive was going to produce an inexpensive mid engine subaru donor sports car I was stoked. Someday I'd love to build one. In the meantime, it keeps infecting my ideas.

Do you mentally picture every car on the road as a pickup, or as a wagon? I thought so. Keep reading. This inevitably leads to thinking I should just build things from a tube frame (a formula truck, if you will). While I don't have the skills for that, what if a kit car company did?

It wouldnt have to meet crash safety testing and could use some classically good pickup truck ideas like cabover and drop down bed sides that could double as ramps. And why not make it light weight and mid engined?

I knew I came to the right place.

I was thinking gas tank and underbed storage in the low area, with a flatbed on top like a vw transporter.
